The Thunderbolt is a non-profit, student-run news media publication made by and for the students of Mills High School. Established in 1958, The Thunderbolt has a rich tradition of reporting campus life at Mills High School. Our award-winning newspaper spotlights student achievements, reports sporting events, and informs the Mills community of the latest news. All content, including our print newspaper, website, online videos, and our numerous social media platforms, is completely managed by students of the Mills Journalism class, as is the management of the business aspects included in running a media non-profit. The Journalism class places an emphasis on developing writing, leadership, and business skills.
