Flex Time

What is Flex Time?

Flex Time is a period that enables students to choose a classroom in which to seek help from a teacher or work on assignments. Students can also make up tests, work on group projects, use a computer lab, meet with their counselor, and much more. For details on how Flex Time works, check out this video:

Expectations During Flex Time

It is mandatory that all students are:

  • Present in a classroom or other space used for Flex Time
  • On Time: Attendance is taken and consequences for truancy apply, just like other classes
  • Ready to Work: Come prepared with questions, materials and a good attitude
  • Engaged in academic work the entire time
  • Present for appointments scheduled by teachers, counselors or other MHS staff
