Alana Tipton, Administrative Assistant I & Front Office Coordinator

Hello! I am the Administrative Assistant to the Principal and Front Office Coordinator. I'm the direct contact to Principal Duszynski and to our amazing Main Office staff you see here. I am the first person you see in the front office, so if there is anything that students, teachers and families need help with I am your person!

Michelle Dudley, Attendance Technician

Hi! I handle all matters related to students' attendance, including cases where they are going to be absent, late, or need to leave for the day. I am also a member of the S.A.R.T. (School Attendance Review Team), where we check in with students who are struggling with attendance and meet with them and their families to offer help and support regarding attending school. Additionally, I handle and distribute locker assignments to the students. I also manage withdrawals for students who will no longer be attending Mills and are enrolling in another school or school district.

Hello! I handle accounting for ASB Clubs, Departments and Athletics and my responsibilities include:

  • Budget tracking, placing orders, processing payments and reimbursements
  • Creating web stores for fundraisers/donations and online payments
  • Processing cash/check deposits/in person payments
  • Obtaining approvals for contracts and get COI & W9 forms from service vendors!

Maritza Fernandez, Health Aide

Hi! I am the Health Office/Health Aide for Mills High School. I have the pleasure of caring for our students when injured or not feeling well or if there is a medical emergency on campus with a student. I handle all medical documents for physical education classes and medical examination forms and immunization records that are a requirement for all new students entering high school. I clear all students for after school sports and manage our Sportsnet clearances. I also manage the Lost and Found area on campus.

Hello! In my role as Staff Assistant, I provide background support to the Mills Assistant Principal who oversees student services. I am happy to answer questions and help provide solutions for students and staff pertaining to school activities. I collaborate with administrators, the facilities manager, faculty, students, and parent groups to coordinate school events. I maintain the school calendars, help organize standardized testing, school photo events, and planning for graduation day. Please come see me in Mills’ main office if you have any questions about activities and events at school.

Hello all! I am the Counselors Assistant, Sports Coach, Student Services Assistant, and AP Coordinator. My job is to support the Counseling and Admin team with supporting student success at Mills. I also support students with additional services and guidance when needed. 

Cybil Schroder, Library Media Technician

Hi! I'm the Librarian. I have a Masters in Library and Information Science from San Jose State University. I am the Resource Manager for the school, anything relating to Textbooks, Chromebooks, Library books, and Research Databases. Also, I manage the Collection Development of the Library and Textbook Room. Generally, I am in the Textbook Room in the morning, and the Library in the afternoon. I also supervise the Library in the afternoon for Athletic Study Hall and general library use. Other things you might see me doing: creating reading displays, organizing events for students, supervising student clubs, reading reviews for upcoming Young Adult books, and giving presentations on research databases.

As the Student Success Coordinator at Mills High School, my primary responsibility is to implement Tier 2 Inerventions designed to enhance academic support for students. My focus is on providing the necessary support and resources to help students navigate academic obstacles and thrive academically. By fostering a positive and inclusive environment, I aim to inspire resilience and motivate every student.

Howdy! As the Career Coordinator, I help students in all things career/job. Whether its finding a part-time job or figuring out what career to pursue, I'm there to help students discover their own paths to success. Additionally, I support the CTE teachers in finding and developing exciting educational opportunities for their students.

Hello! My main role as the Office Assistant I at Mills High School is to support Teachers, Staff and Sudents with any questions they might have. My desk is located in the Copy Room, so, much of my time is dedicated to document reproduction and printing posters. I also frequently cover the Front Desk for the Administrative Assistant for breaks or absences. This entails: answering phone calls, welcoming and helping parents or other visitors, and fielding questions and requests from staff members and students alike. One of my secondary roles is the the Mills Sustainability Facilitator, so ask me how you can join our journey towards making Mills more sustainable!
