• Waivers are automatic for students who have been identified as Socially or Economically Disadvantaged (SED). This includes all students in the Free & Reduced Lunch (FRL) program.
• Not in FRL, but need help? Apply via EZMealApp. If you are approved, the waiver will take effect within a few days.

Welcome! See below for information about SMUHSD school‑day PSAT and SAT testing. These exams are key tools for college readiness and, in some cases, scholarship eligibility. The process here is separate from the national Saturday exams you register for directly with the College Board.

How to Register

1. Open the registration portal: https://apps.smuhsd.org/my-psat-sat
2. Sign in with your SMUHSD Google account. The system uses Google OAuth to read your email address and verify eligibility.
3. Review your available exam(s). The portal automatically displays the tests linked to your grade. Choose the one you want and complete the short form.
4. Submit and confirm. You’ll see an on‑screen confirmation and receive an email copy.

Testing Accommodations

Students needing accommodations (e.g., extended time) must secure approval from the College Board before test day. Start early—processing can take several weeks.

Fees & Payment for SAT (PSAT is Free)

• Cost: $100 (SMUHSD covers the PSAT-10 fee for Grade 10).

• Pay online: A Stripe link appears after you submit registration. Each link is unique to the student—do not pay the College Board directly.

Fee Waivers

• Automatically applied for students in the Free & Reduced Lunch (FRL) program.

• Not in FRL but need help? Apply via EZMealApp. Once approved, forward the confirmation or email assessment@smuhsd.org so we can waive the fee.

Refunds

Cancel in the registration portal by the Final day to cancel for a full refund.  for a full refund. No refunds after that date.
