After graduating college and traveling for a year or two, I entered a career in the architecture field, but soon realized that what I really wanted to do was utilize my
degrees in English/Philosophy and become a teacher. My educational adventure began at Abraham Lincoln High School in San Francisco, where I taught all levels of
English and was the Yearbook Advisor. About four years into teaching, I interviewed at Mills High School and was fortunate enough to be hired. I've been a teacher at Mills
since 2007. As a VIKING, I have taught all grade levels of English, including AP Language & Composition, as well as AVID and ELD.
